The King is Gone.
I am deeply saddened that My dear, and Best friend Don Lowe has passed on.
I first met Don in 1983 at "Rock Bottom Music" in Eau Claire Wisconsin. Don became more than a friend and Musical mentor. We became brothers. We laughed, fought, drank and most of all wrote the songs of our lives. I had called him up {Drunk outta my Mind} after 25 years being apart. But after talking, it was like we'd never been apart. The last 7 years we spent every Saturday writing. Playing off of each others strengths. I'm the story guy, and he the Maestro.. Don passed of cancer this last Friday. For the last month He had me put together Music for his service. Our song the Journey will be first,Then the Band's Unfaithful servant. And Just so he could get the last laugh, Jon Prine's Please Don't Bury Me. I'd look them up and post, But this is hard enough write.
Please say a little prayer for an Old King. He loved this site, and enjoyed the company of many of you.
Be Well All, and may you have a blessed Christmas.
Bruce

Peace be with you and your dear friend Don. I love the music that was chosen for his service. Those songs will be the angels that carry Don home.

Dear Bruce,
Nothing in life can prepare us for the death of a loved one. It always catches us off-guard. Nothing can emotionally prepare us for its arrival. With every death, there is a loss. And with every loss, there will be grief.
In times such as these let us gather together and lift up our brother Bruce as he endures the hardship of living on after another has gone.
Psalm 34:18
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 147:3
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Matthew 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
We hope this message with help to lessen your burden but there are no mere words that truly can. Your in our thoughts.

Condolences to you Bruce and Don's family.
This isn't the best time of year to endure a loss in the family. I guess when The Man calls you home, it's time to go. At least he's not suffering any longer.
Peace be with you and yours,
Duane
