Lonely songs?
Do you have a song that you feel deserves a little more attention? Maybe it's at the bottom of your page and you have other songs that get all the action, be brave and submit a track to the ***new*** & intriguing Lonely Song station & give your dazzling misfit a chance to shine, yaaaaaa!!

Hi Maria
I never gave this song much attention and I'm sure I will come back to it one day, feel free to wake the poor guy up. He's still in demo mode but. His name is Moral ground.

Maria:
I have a sleeper in "He Rides" which was my tribute to the late Frankie Laine. Could use a home.
Thanks very much!

Pretty much all of them, these days. I don't seem to be getting much traffic.
But, for the sake of this thread:
"And To Think..." (my purest-pop song)
"I Do" (my shot at a classic, 50's-style, Everly Brothers love song)
"The Yummy Song" [a tough one to swallow, production-wise, but it actually seems to be a favorite of a couple (well-respected) of folks here.]
Ironically, these are some of what I consider to be my strongest compositions. And, when I first came here, they were the ones that got the most attention. Musta just dropped off or something. Thanks, Maria.

Thanks guys, I agree it's often our most personal songs that seem to miss the mark with listeners, why is that I wonder? As you'll see I added a song of ours for exactly that reason, it was a hard one to write because I felt I was soul bearing just out of my comfort zone and I wasn't sure whether I wanted to set it to tape, over time I'm ok with it and though it's never been a fave with our supporters I'm glad I didn't bin it LOL!! I'm off to get these songs spinning, cheers!

You've been so generous Maria. Thank you for your recent adds. Now, here I am again! :-) One of my Soul bearing gut wrenching songs that I never promote is "I Cry" simply because it does not come from a place of peace and so I feel sometimes that I'm imposing my painful places on people. It is in all ways a very lonely Wolf Cry. deb

Hi Maria -
Anything That Love Can Buy>
This is a lonely song. It's currently only on one other station. It has a haunting quality that always brings me back to it. It's one of our most introspective songs so it should fit right in.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, Marie - long time no chat, hope you're well! I'm not seeking airtime, but I was interested to read the comments everyone has made and will visit the station for a listen. Regarding your comment about "baring your soul" I felt that way about "It's Over Now (Fly With Angels)" - the song was intensely personal and didn't live up to my goals, so I kept it entirely to myself for years after recording it. I view it as a demo. Again - NOT seeking airplay, just enjoying the comments here and conversing...also, "Men of Religion" is another intensely personal song, venting about the nature of things, and I was tempted not to release that for the obvious controversy it could generate...but what the heck, honest art is the best art, I figure...
Rock on Maria and friends!

our lonely little song is called appropriately "On an Island"
When we finished it I thought it was the best thing we had done-----but I have since decided it is either --too long----too normal-----or too sad!!

One of my songs has never got any attention but is one of my favourites. I think it has never caught the attention of anyone because it has no decernable chorus, and is a bit all over the place. It is a story, where the music follows the lyrics rather than the other way round. The song is called 'White Scares & Nightmares' Id be greatful if you had a listen.

Thanks Rob, I loved your comment on the Buffalo station and I'm amazed at how the quote was apt then, some kind of spiritual connection there, it's so good when that happens, shows the human side of the net I guess and Ben I added your song thanks very much, I'll be back here tomorrow to track down Hugh's songs & thank you all for this, it's been enlightening & very enjoyable to find so many tracks that I had overlooked, thumbsup to good music yaaa!!!!!!!
