Hey, that's a good idea for a station....
I tend to write a lot of laments..
dont know why, maybe I take things too seriously
this is the saddest one for me. I was pretty down when I wrote it and it still kinda gets me....a little.

Misery loves company ay!
Sad songs eat me up, but ironically that's all I seem to write.
You could go with,Bye Love, or You Taught Me Well, But in my opinion the saddest of the lot is, But No No No .
You can go to my page, or FUJI MINX.

Hey Rob,
Great station idea. I certainly have my share of sad songs. I am generally a very happy/optimistic person. I find that I have difficulty with expressing sadness-- except through songwriting (and listening to others' songs that touch me). Music is definitely my outlet when it comes to this emotion. From my own songs, may I suggest "Mad River" or "Isle of Regret"
Thanks my brother from the other side of the world!

I guess I think of myself as optimistic too... Although some artists on IAC have expressed they feel that too many of my harder songs on IAC, are angry -sounding....
SAD?? hmm.... Please consider:
Time in a Bottle
FEEL her Wrath
OR
I wallow in My own Shit
-thanks for a COOL station idea & the possibility of gettin' a sad tune played.

Hi Rob,
Wonderful idea for a station. Sad songs can sometimes be some of the most powerful ones we can write. The song on my page with BY FAR the saddest emotion attached to it is Valentine. It was written about my breakup with my ex boyfriend who I thought I was going to marry. I had to stop recording during the guitar solo takes a number of times due to tears!!
Edit - I just noticed you have already added 'Out Here' to your station, Rob. Thank you so much for your support. Purrs from the Puss. :)

Thanks for adding my tune, Robbie - I'm sorry to say it seems to be TOO SAD TO PLAY (lol)...I've been getting lots of messages lately about songs not playing on my page, and I've encountered zillions of songs throughout the site that ain't workin' right. Makes me sad. But I don't think I'll write a song about it...
Rock on, Amigo...

Don\'t Give In
I wrote this song in the middle of winter, in an attic with no heat... fingers numb, heart broken... just at the edge of liberating from a very dark place on my journey...

thanks for making this station Bud.
I listened to about 1/3 of it earlier today, really nice.
(((Hughs song "to sad to cry" doesn't seem to be working)))
I'll stream it tonight while I'm working.
That song silverwood is very sweet, that is actually one of my favorite sentiments from the Tao Te Ching.. "bend and you need not break"
there's another from that book that sort of translates
A good leader leads the people and when they have finished they say "we could not have done it without you!"
A Great leader leads the people and when they finish they say "look, we did this all by ourselves".
Thats been one of my goals as a music teacher is to learn how to engage just enough... It's delicate.

Thank you Rob for bringing this collection of songs with heart and feeling under one roof so to speak on your "Sad Songs" station. I dare say there is likely not one artist here or anywhere for that matter who does not have a sad song somewhere in their life experiences.
Through good times and bad times, happy times and sad times, music has always been both my guiding light and my saving light.
Somewhere along my many journeys through time and around the world I came across these words and have saved them, knowing that they so succinctly spoke the truth about coming to a fork in the road. I share them with you here:
"Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself. There are moments in your life that make you and sets the course of who you are going to be. Sometimes they’re little, subtle moments … sometimes they’re big moments you never saw coming. No one asks for their life to change but it does. It’s what you
do afterwards that counts. That’s when you find out who you are."
Whatever the cause, the reason, the tragedy or misfortune; whatever the hurt, the pain or the sorrow - as songwriters, singers and musicians we respond in the way we know and love best - in music and song. I know that you and all at Silverwood share this understanding. Thank you for this, thank you for adding our song to your "Sad Songs" Station ... and thank you most of all for you.
May the light shine for all time on Katrina's resting place, and her spirit reside and glow in your hearts eternally.
Peace and love,
Neil
Addendum:
(November 23 - this day in 1963 forever emblazoned in my memory - RIP JFK)

Hi Kurt
Yeah I like that one ---'LISTEN' it's added!
I hope this post sticks I just typed a long reply and it wouldn't load----
If you are in Melbourne you will be still one ocean away from New Zealand unfortunately----It would be great to meet you, and we certainly have the room for travelling musos!!!
Plus our studio is looking near completion---we spent the insurance on sliding glass doors and redecorating just the ceiling and floor to go!!
So---Maybe?

Thanks so much for adding "Say You Will". I think that's the saddest thing that I ever wrote, it's true.
But, of course, I have to come back for more, right? At the time
"Carlen, Another Day" was pretty sad for me; breakup and all that.
And, maybe
"One Of Those" is more pitiful than actually sad, but... you be the judge.
Now, I will go away with a modicum of my shame still intact.
Kinda.
Great station.
Thanks.
