trojan warning
BEWARETotal Protect 2009
It hit while I was voting yesterday
came as a pop up from my bar at the bottom of my screen
disguised as a security system telling me our computer was infected and ran a scan finding viruses and trojan ALL Over
could not get rid of it -kept saying do you want to continue with no protection after about 20 times it shut down my computer with a full screen WARNING IN BLUE AND RED
COULD NOT OPEN ANYTHING -all our virus & firewall protection was deleted -
In the end my 17 year old son opened google on his laptop and after 3 hours whe found out what it was and how it got "in"
apparently it was brought in by a virus which came via an MSN message which closed our windows firewall as we logged in -
also called "Total Security' posing as a windows program.

Sorry to hear it Rob, but I have to say I'm relieved that your subject didn't refer to a condom recall.

That's really freaky. Something similar happened to a friend of mine.

Why can't these computer geeks understand that trojans are not for computers they are for fun.
I guess it has something to do with the fact that they have never been close enough to a girl to use one.
Fixed a similar issue for a friend of mine took me 12 hours to fully delete it.
It had multiple registry entries and keeps recreating itself every time the PC was rebooted.
Seriously these people need to find something better to do with their time.
Hire a hooker if they have to and find out what its like to use a trojan instead on write one in computer code.
