My Mom
Hello friends,
Some of you may have read on a thread awhile back that my Mom was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. I just received a call from my Dad and she is in intensive care, her chemo treatments have really hit her hard. I am driving out to the Hospital the Palm Springs California area., I may be off the air for a while.
I believe in the power of positive energy. whatever your belief or faith if you can please send some energy this way, and hope for a full recovery of my Mom.. ...Mary Lou Myers. I would appreciate it.

My dad had the same, Jeff. The chemo knocked him worse than the disease itself.
My thoughts are with you too.

Dear Jeff,
I KNOW for a positive certainty, that Love Heals. I don't know your Mom, but I have a Mom, and would be weak with fear if she had to go through that! My dear sweet Wife, ( and Singer) Michele is in the hospital in washington state. The good news is, over the last five years, she has survived (2) unrelated cancers She had a Breast removed, had chemo, lost her hair, but never her Dignity. the Love of Friends and Family gave her that! Then a few years later, she was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Thymoma, very Life threatening, God let us have her for awhile longer, She survived, but not without losing a vocal chord, her left lung, and more of that dignity. she is cancer free today (but has a score of ther issues), and is working hard to become a Drummer (that does backup vox), and IT'S WORKING! This is because of the Love, concern, and positive reinforcement of her Loved ones (and spiritual beings she doesn't even know). Our Prayers, and Love go out for Mary Lou Myers. Whatever happens, She's Loved.

When you get there, hold her hand, laugh and kid around. Tell her how much she means to you. Tell her that you'll always be there for her.
I just left my father in the ICU 10 minutes ago, he's asleep and on a respirator, but I always talk to him. When my mom died a year or so ago, the hospice nurse told me that the hearing is always the last to go, so I kept talking to her to the very end.I know that she knew how much I loved her.
Love transcends all boundaries. My prayers for your mom's recovery and hoping she has peace in her heart, you as well Jeff.

Prayers are with you. I lost my mom to lung cancer in November, so I know what you're going through. Hang in there, and all the best to you and your family.

Hello kind friends,
Thank you all for responding to this thread, I appreciate all of you very much.
My Mom is still in the Hospital, tomorrow will be a week. She has been transferred out of ICU, but her white and red blood cell count is very low as well as her platelets. She has pnemonia, and with her white count so low it is very hard to fight off. The doctor said becuase of her low platelet count, if she cut herself she could bleed to death. I don't think she will be coming home anytime soon. She will have to put her Chemo treatment on hold because it is literally killing her, its worse then the Cancer at the moment.
Your words of encouragement mean alot to me, and it warmed my heart to read your posts. Thank you.... God bless you and your families.

Dear Jeff:
All I can say is I'm going through it again, just a year and a half after losing my mother. My dad is in ICU and not improving. The doctors think his prognosis is extremely poor. My two brothers and I are now faced with "playing God" come this Monday morning if he survives the weekend. I'm torn with this decision, but his white count is 28k and he has multiple blood clots in his lungs that are making him non-weenable off the respirator. So now, after talking with all the doctors, Monday is decision day. God help me.
I will continue to pray for your mom Jeff. I know this feeling all too well. Hang in there buddy, pray and be strong!
