I was particularly struck by watching this man's eyes, before, during and after his performance (and his heavy sigh of relief was not lost on me either). Great editing job, too, of the footage. Dramatic action in the faces of so many, esp. the judges' reactions throughout.

Beautiful singer, he gets so much emotion into his singing! And of course, like all the best singers, he's Welsh too :)

Satch might like to know that I've visited some ancestral haunts in Welshpool and environs...lol...but "Ballet Class" is no match for this dude...

Hugh, we live about 20 miles south east of Welshpool, so maybe next time you visit, we should get together for tea and cakes?

Sounds good to me Satch! On my way out from London I might zig-zag a bit, so's to be sure to spend a night on Mr. Ison's couch, another in Chris Eaglehead's garden (better be summertime, I s'pose) and I wouldn't want to miss a visit with Jawz, Pseudonymph, Maw, Jillianne, The Wright Family, et. al. Then afterwards I'd have to head far north for a wee dram and a piano session with Mr. Porter...hmm...any other folks I'm forgetting about?
During my last visit - about 1987 (yeesh!) I visited the old ancestral family home above the river Vyrnwy...called Dolobran...some Quaker ancestors of mine left the house for Philadelphia in the 1680s...I liberated a couple of pebbles (don't tell the Queen!) from Lake Vyrnwy and from the site of Mathraval castle, which is now just a mound. Was allowed into an ancient church (had been condemned - a kindly old lady offered me a foot-long key (lol) and told me to "be careful!") with family heraldic art...took lots of photos...and LOST THEM ALL. Ah, the folly of youth...
