A recent study found the average American walks about 900 miles a year.
Another study found Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year.
That means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon.
Damn, we're good!

There's a great moment in that DVD where Dowd pulls up the master tapes of Layla, and sort of plays with the tracks. Ha!

I figured you'd be enjoying that one sooner or later, Hugh, and I'm glad you did. Tom Dowd is one man I wish I'd had the chance to thank for working his magic. I really enjoyed watching him joyfully working the faders once more for the Layla segment. Pure love. He must've been great to work with.

'Twas fab, Mike - a fellow whose name I knew from the fine print on some of my favorite albums - it's nice to get an idea of his story. And now I'm reminded that you probably suggested I check this out months ago! It was just exceedingly good luck that the DVD happened to be on the front shelf of the DVD section of the store that I entered because we got to Guitar Center before they opened! Instant karma!
