The dog sat on my dongle!
I hate those things. Bat Lenny got together to do some recording on Saturday and the Waves plug-in copy protection dongle was plugged into the bottom USB port and the dog sat on it, snapping it right in half. Put an instant halt to our progress since we use Waves plug-ins on every song we do. Couldn't even open anything.
Don't you just hate copy protection? Isn't there a better way? How stupid is it to occupy a precious high speed USB port just to transmit a miniscule piece of code for a microsecond when you start up?

I thought I knew what a Dongle was, but now I'm beginning to wonder. I usually keep mine out of sight. I think.

I agree with you, it's stupid. Especially since it's not effective, except for irritating people.

Fender and Gibson just chew each others ears. Although, I catch them sneaking a sniff or two..................
I razz my daughter when they're licking her face though! Ha Ha Ha

Hopefully you can get a replacement dongle without too much trouble. Now I'm glad I've stuck with my obsolete (but still very usefull) Vegas 1.
Could be a new tune- "The Dogeared Dongle".
