Kurt,
Truly Major Tom is by far my favorite Bowie tune, I liked Fame, and Lets dance, as well, but definately, I'll space out to Major Tom every time.

Kack - Emerson, Lake and Cozy Powell did a version on their one album together. It is excellent! Personally, I think Keith and Greg picked Powell, just so they could still use ELP.

Btw, keeping on my Pink Floyd jag, there's always "Set The Controls for the Heart of the Sun". I've been hearing "Little Green Men" by Steve Vai, also.

Sam - wasn't that the one that came with a sheet of reflective mylar that you could roll into a cylinder and stand it up in the middle of the album cover and it would reflect a 360° image of Mr. Wakeman? That was weird! I wish I still had that! I need to Google that one.
Inca Roads! Great one, Koz! The video is pretty entertaining too.
How about Astronomy by Blue Oyster Cult? Lunar Sea by Camel? Bike Ride to the Moon by Dukes Of Stratosphere?
Just a few more that came to mind.

yeah Stegor that's the one ! .. hee hee ... man I miss albums !
The critics didn't care to much for the album ... but I thought it was great ...
of course it could have been the effects of that cylinder ... or quite possibly the effects of whatever "other" enhancement that was available at the time ... :)

You guys have missed a gem... British pop music in the 90s cannot be beaten. Spaceman, by Babylon Zoo. As a 13/14 year old kid growing up in the UK, this song meant a lot to me ;-P
