What's your favorite line of lyric you ever wrote?
Mine is probably this one from Virtual Star
i'm the great big tidal wave when the icecap thaws

The first one that comes to mind is from a song that isn't even in my top 20 favorite songs that I've written, but I still like this line:
"To fan the flames you threw the fan in the fire
It burned very hot but soon turned to ash"
I didn't even put it on IMP, but I do have it online for my own reference:
"The Ballad Of Whimsy and You"

This can be a fun thread. I'll play.
It's all grand, you're out of the band,
Get your ass home and play with your hand
It's all good, you're back in your hood,
Campin' in your mama's driveway singin' Frank Sinatra's "My Way"

I'd fly
I'd Drive
I'd Run
I'd crawl
Cuz all I've got left is your picture on the wall
And now I wish you were 500 miles away
Then at least I'd know you'd be somewhere I could go

and I will love you forever more".

I can see that it's gonna be tough
I'm expecting to cope just fine
I'll stop reading news, forget the worlds blues
And sing about what we enshrine
From "Hairdressers" on our page and in Comedy charts

Well, right now, this is one of my favorites from one of my most recent songs called "Rising Up"
Haters say you’ll never make it just because you’re from the hood.
Grab reality and change it, man the truth is mighty good
We are more than conquerors more than ghetto dwelling folk
We are strong because we stand the test of fire
We are reaching for the sky and don’t listen to their lies
We believe we can do anything within our hearts desire

Okay, I got one from a song that I actually have on IMP (which is most of them):
"Break my heat, and use the pieces to put yours back together"
"Break My Heart"
No idea why I didn't think of that one in the first place!

What a fun thread. :) I confess to having a few favourites, but among them is:
Well I can take or leave Camus
Much too existential
When I'm here along with you
I'd rather get down to essentials
From 'Leave Your Mind at the Door' (which is on my Artist's page here on IMP).

'That picture on the wall really isn't there at all
I know that it was never meant to be
But in that photograph I always make you laugh
So I keep it hanging there In memory'

MERRILY, MERRILY, MERRILY, LIFE IS BUT...
“DEATH ON A STRING"
AT THE "END OF ALL OUR ROPES"...
“DEATH IS THE KING"
WE ARE ALL SHELTERED...
BENEATH “HIS WING”.
THE IDEA OF “PEACE” AND “REST”...
IS “COMFORTING”...
AND IN “YOUR” HONOR...
WE SHALL SING...
FOR THE JOY OF THE WORLD...
FOR THE JOY OF ALL...
FOR THE JOY OF ALL THE WORLD...
WITHOUT END.
...from "Anatomy Of God"
