I'm looking for Connecticut Artists for my newest station CONNECT i CUTS.
If you are (or know of) an artist from Connecticut here on IAC, please drop a note at the station and I'll be glad to listen.
Thanks,

Glenn, it was our pleasure to meet you at the gig the other night; thanks for coming out and introducing yourself. It's really interesting to know that there are so many here at IAC from Connecticut and it'll be cool to check in on each others' shows.
More CT artists at IAC:
Look in on Monkey 68 (he was at the Bank St as well). Also find Jim Carpenter (solo) and his band, the Hoolios.

Got 'em Mike, thanks. I'll add the Hoolios with an asterisk. I'll have to break my strict criterion (CT must be band location) on the first day of the station. But Jim is a CT boy, VA being an accident of birth.
It looked like Sandy playing the mandolin on the Hoolios pic, is it?

Got 'em both Mike, thanks. As it turns out, Eric is from our hometown.
Hugh, we'll give you an honorary membership for all you do for other artists around here. In fact, Honorary Chester Boys might be a good station too.

You're right, both Sandy and I play in the Hoolios as well..
Then it's official..
Do you ever get a night off? You've got to be the hardest working musician in CT!
BTW, I enjoyed meeting you all too. You guys made for a wonderful night out.
If you ever notice the Shiny Lapel Trio has moved over here to IAC, let me know. They're fantastic too!

Glenn ... or anyone in the Connecticut area ... if you are ever in the "Hamden" area, might I suggest stopping in a place called "The Space" ... A musician by the name of Steve Rogers ("Mighty Purple") runs the place .... I saw many FANTASTIC musicians there while I was hanging out in Conn. ... They have open mic nights and also featured bands playing gigs there ... it's mostly a young crowd but there are a mix of older folks too ... They serve no alcohol and are a very friendly bunch of peeps...

I was born/raised in Mass. and used to go tearing up 291 at 3:00am on 11 hour driving runs from Norfolk in my Navy days....any points?

Carl, yes to the points...
Unfortunately no to inclusion. Though I don't have a monopoly on the idea. You could always start a Massachusetts Mania station or a Back Bay Barbeque station or Sleeping in the Fens, or Quabbin in the Moonlight .... yada, yada..
But thanks for tryin'
Glenn
