RedRobin	1/1/2008 5:36:47 PM Hi Ben, Talking about your mix: There's nothing lost and everything to be gained by saving your song file but starting a new additional version - Getting the "flow" you want is crucial (you can't polish a turd if the original part isn't up to it!). But also try to avoid too much reverb and usually it's a bad idea to use different reverbs in the same song - Try sending the reverb to a Bus (Logic definitely, possibly GarageBand?) where you can control and audition the exact amount of the same reverb fed into each track. Reverbs use complex algorithms which can have unexpected consequences when mixed with others. Slight panning might also help. Try the stereo Spreader (in LogicPro). Just experiment on a copy. It's difficult to offer any real advice without sitting in front of it. Sometimes just a small change can help everything to fall naturally into better position - Sometimes not!! Someone else might have something more to advise. As I said before, I think the song is strong and your voice good and confident - It's only a matter of improving the clarity of the mix - You'll get there!

But, to be honest (no point in me being otherwise), the mix is a bit muddy - Not quite enough spacial separation, especially with the keyboard parts.
