Oh man, the real life can be so cruel...thank god, I have no problems with my health. I had some problems with my mojo, I thought, making music was a part of my yesterdays life because suddenly it was gone. But there's a light at the end of the tunnel...I don't see it, but I can feel it. Lenny Kravitz sang "it ain't over 'til it's over" that's how I feel right now, we'll see, if there's still music in the pipeline.
Sam, I'm not sure, if not going to the doctor is the right way but it's your decision and I hope for you, it's getting better day by day. I wish you all the best!

Thanks for your comments on my new lyrics The Healing Tree. I'll put up an unplugged version in the next day or so. I love writing words - I struggle fitting words to tunes but find it easy to fit tunes to words. It's alway fascinating to me the way different people do their songwriting and the infinite and endless scope for new songs!

Sam, Thanks for the nice comment on the new tune. I had the lyrics for awhile but I had completely different music. I wasn't crazy about it so I put it on the shelf. Then recently I was fiddling around and stumbled upon this chord progression. I started thumbing through my writings and came back to these old lyrics and the darn thing worked out OK. Sometimes its interesting when it works out that way because, certainly in this case, I never would have made the connection without doing the lyrics and music separately and fitting them together later. Dropping in for a spell. Cosmic Dance is a really cool tune!!! I've got a quick story for you that you'll love. I was on a flight back from Kansas City a couple of weeks ago and had a nice 2 hour stretch of time to listen to my ipod. Among the artists I listeded to were: John Prine, Willie Nelson, Led Zeppelin, Guy Clark, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Chris Smither, the Doors, and The Man With No Band. You sounded pretty darn good in and among all the great artists/tunes I listened to! I smiled when "Everybody's Got a Song" started playing right after Bob Dylan's "Tangled Up in Blue." I thought you would get a kick out of that!!!

Sorry it's taken me this long to say hello and thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness after my mom's passing. I really appreciate that you wrote on her guestbook, thanks again.
I'm doing okay, things are moving into alot of transitions since she has left me, and because her death was so sudden, there is so many things to work out and fix right now. It's just one day at a time and I'm trying to allow the grief to come as it may. I suppose it's a part of the circle of life.
Anyway, i hope you are well and i wish you a very lovely Spring...:)

Sam is the software to download called Super? The only thing I see to click to download is called Prism.....I am confused...I did download Prism a couple of days ago but I was unable to load the converted files into youtube.

I see you have a good number of styles of songs and had some real success here at IAC. Unfortunately I did not paint the picture at MWM. Most of the paint I use comes in 4 gallon tins!! It is actually a photo taken by my brother in law in Italy, obviously modified to achieve that effect. It is the country side where I grew up from 1 to 10 years of age.

Seeing your pictures of double rainbows reminded me of something. A couple of months ago I was in Washington D.C. It had just stormed and the clouds were starting to lift so that you could see patches of blue sky. I was on a stretch of New York Ave just west of the White House and I looked up and there was a brilliant, full double rainbow. The most clear rainbow I have ever seen single or double! It didn't look like it could be real, almost like a cartoon or something. The crazy thing is that one end of the rainbow ended right at the White House. Some tourists surely must have snapped pictures of this! I couldn't help thinking what an irony this was couldn't the powers that be at least wait until Obama gets to the White House? :)

Well with the amp I find people will stand about 20 feet away and listen, and sometimes they are behind me, then they come drop money in the guitar case. I 've had folks come over from the restaurant and put money in the case, and that one time someone came over with a $100 bill....whoa... It works out well having an amp...but I could not travel with all this...it would be nice to have something very small and portable for say if I wanna go to NYC and do this. The mail is down hence this comment!

Thanks for taking the time to come by my page to take a listen to some of my songs. One of my resolutions this year is to partcipate in the IAC community more than I have been. Just in these 9 days of 2008, I have met so many more friends on here and I now consider you one. I, like you, listen to all genres of music. I wish more would because the world would be a better place and we all would find out we have alot in common. I am listening to your music now and I really like, "When The Last Beatles Gone". You have this mellow style where I can sit back with my Tanqueray & Tonic or a good brew and just listen for hours (doing that as I type).
I am trying to get the word out here at IAC and in the industry in general that Hip Hop didn't start out with all this violence and praise of jewelz, money and how big your rims are. It actually started because of the LACK of those things!!! I was getting my point across to that young man that that style of Hip Hop is going by the wayside. The record and radio industry is finding this out the hard way by the lack of record sales in the genre. It's just too cookie cutter right now. I have found so many great Hip Hop artists on here at IAC and elsewhere with something to say. i am truly Blessed that IAC came to me and I joined, now some of my work is getting recognized by CASHBOX as well. I see that you are VERY recognized here as well and well deserved I may add. I feel it takes 1 to get the message out and to change things. Here is a good place to start. God Bless My Friend,

I just thought I would take this little break in my busy December schedule to extend a very special thank you for your wonderful friendship and to wish you a joyous and peaceful Christmas Season … may it be filled with good friends, good health, music, love, happiness, and the special treasure of wonderful memories to warm your heart. It has truly been a privilege and an honor for me to come to know you as a special friend here at IAC through our mutual love for music.
My debut year into the world of music is coming to a close on a very special high note doing a series of volunteer Christmas shows with "Sentimental Journey", an ensemble of entertainers traveling to Retirement Facilities throughout south-western Ontario providing entertainment for the residents and the community.
It is truly heart-warming to see the smiles in the eyes and the joy on the faces that being a part of this special Christmas show brings to those who have traveled many roads in life - hard roads, long roads and more often than not now, lonely roads. When the show is over and I go to shake their hands and wish them a merry little Christmas, I see their tiny smiles, the glisten and gleam in their tired old eyes, and I hear the sound of their soft gentle voices as they wrap their wrinkled old hands around mine and look up into my eyes and say to me, "Thank you so much my dear for coming tonight, it was a lovely show and I enjoyed it so much. You have made me feel like it really is Christmas.” I cannot begin to tell you just how many times already this month I've had to hold back that big lump in my throat and stop myself from crying right there on the spot because I was so happy to be able to do what I do. Who says cowboys don't cry !!!
What greater gift than love can one possibly give.
To you and yours Sam, Merry Christmas and my sincere best wishes for the New Year. God bless.

Sam, my wife is back home, I got another Stupidest song thingy this time on If I could play the guitar, I am taking the dog for walks twice a day, so things are back to normal and I had a chance to listen to Flicker and Whiskey Symphony. (If I spelt Whiskey wrong, would be because I drink scotch!!!).
Flicker is a very cute good song and Whiskey Symphony has a lot of depth to it that may not be obvious at first, I really like it. Went and saw Elton John Wednesday Night. Talk about a man with no band, He played for almost two hours, just He and his piano, no band!!!

When the last Beatle gone has a lot of potential, I think keep it simple and don't let the background detract from the lyrics. I think it is a really original idea, so nurture it!
Re: A field of green, I will have to rewrite the portion of Lyrics that says 'Where have all the flowers gone' as I recently learned that is in a song from the 60's by Pete Seeger.

thanks for "the Kiwi'' already added--------------------I have not been looking after things here for a while ---------just keeping my nose in on the front page----but now we have 13 new songs (and music) i will be able to relax and get back into it------------things tail off in the listening dept when you're not active----------we dropped from 60---100 hits per day, down to low 20s, so effort is required!

Glad you like "Wish I Was Here". Funny you say it's 'pretty' though. Becsause I had this other mix with harmonies and added keyboard sounds that folks -- including the co-writer --- were saying made it sound 'too pretty'. They wanted it stripped back to the blues/roots basics. Which is what I did. Anyway, thanks for listening and commenting.
