Between them there were 734 downloads of their music from radiosubmit over a few months and many cds submitted to various blues programs around the world to those that did not have access to that service good music , good results...much success you bluesers .... Bruce Lee	12/20/2009 12:14:22 PM just a heads up, Bryon,.. I noticed yesterday while carousing some tunes here at IAC that when I clicked the 'stream all' button, songs would not play. BUT when I clicked on the individual songs on the page, they would play. Maybe you experienced the same thing at Kris's page when her songs wouldn't stream. ..mind you, when I clicked 'stream all', the KIAC player loaded all of the songs, but it would not stream any of them. We could pass that on to tech here, but in the meantime, I thought you could use the tip? So, if you hit stream all and no tunes come out, try clicking the individual play button for each song. cheers, -f

I'm glad you like "baby loves another gal" the reason i made that song unchartable is that the backing track was sent to me by a friend in Ontario and i wrote a lyric and played the guitar just kind for fun, it turned out pretty good! But I dont even know who to credit for the backing track. It was just sort of an online BB lark that somehow worked out ok.. :-) I'm glad you posted on my page, I've listened to a few of your pieces and had made a mental note to look into your stuff further. As for the licensing...its something Jeremy and I got into back in 2001 and really started to take seriously in 2003. It first started with our finding a company called Pump Audio who was really a great company to team with. They had just started out and recently they were bought by Getty Images and have become even larger. We also submit to other boutique publishers where we can get non-exclusive contracts. That way, we can submit our songs to multiple companies for use. We also have built up a good name for ourselves with film/tv supervisors over the years. We try to put out a volume of sounds like hit songs every quarter. It's not necessarily music I'd release solo, but it's very licenceable music that does well for TV, commercials etc. I think we were very lucky to get in when we did as now there is somewhat of a flood of Indie music being offered to these companies. We were sort of pioneers as far as Indies goes in to this territory. You can still definitely do it, but there is a huge amount of quality Indie music now, so it's tougher to swim.. but absolutely doable. Richard Scotti	4/4/2009 1:59:27 AM Byron - thank you for adding Brother John to your Music Is Truth Station. I especially want to thank you for your amazing review of the song. It really made my spirit soar! Although I'm not the vocalist on this song, I worked very closely with him (Rich Mendoza) to get the final result. I play the instruments and produced it with all the passion I could muster because the song serves a dual role for me. It was inspired by my actual brother John who was a drummer and idolized John Lennon as much as I did. John Lennon and my brother shared many of the same qualities and when my brother died at age 50 the memory of them seem to merge in my mind. I had wanted to write a song about Lennon ever since his murder but when my brother died 2 years ago the anguish of losing him was something I fused with the feeling of loss I had from Lennon's death. That's how the song was born. It's about both of them. So when you use so many superlatives to describe this particular song it really uplifts my heart. When someone with your talent and knowledge of music says my song is brilliant it really makes this indie struggle worthwhile. Your high praise for my skills as a musican and producer also took my breath away. I'm equally in awe of your takents. Thanks again for your support and kind words. It's the highest praise I've recieved since I came to IAC one year ago and it's a temendous form of validation. It gives me the strength and the encourgement to keep on keepin' on.

Auset	12/18/2008 9:22:49 AM Hi Bryon! Actually, my husband is the one on steel on our recordings... I'm still more of a dabbler... but have helped him keep his focus - ha. Steel is a challenging and awesome instrument. I write all of our music and play all the acoustic guitar parts. I thank you over and over again for taking the time to stop by and give us a listen. Your amazingly kind words are so deeply appreciated too. The main tracks on my page all come from our first EP attempt... much was learned, to say the least. At the time, without a firm band, we played mainly as a duo... yet for the project were incredibly fortunate to have attracted top-notch players to assist us (I say attracted, because they all did it for near nothing but loving the songs). We now have a committed project and are getting ready for round 2... so we're very excited. In fact, we just played a cosmically beautiful show this past weekend and captured it on multitrack... hope to post some of it in the next week or two.
